Over the past two days, the Final General Assembly of the STARLIGHT_H2020 project took place in Paris. Web-IQ attended in Paris, joining partners from across Europe to reflect on the completion of this significant initiative.

STARLIGHT was a five-year European project in which organisations from all over the EU collaborated on the development, testing and evaluation of dozens of AI tools for law enforcement. Transparency, collaboration and the responsible use of AI in policing were central throughout the project.

We look back with pride on a strong collaboration that brought together research, technology and operational law enforcement. The knowledge, insights and results generated within STARLIGHT provide a solid foundation for continued innovation beyond the project’s conclusion.
